Nutritious and Delicious Treats
April 20, 2015
When hanging out with friends it’s easy to over eat or eat a wee bit more junk food than you would on your own. Below are three simple and extremely tasty recipes that also happen to be very good for you! These are the perfect late night snacks to serve at a sleepover with your friends and are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth without all the calories!
Chocolate Stuffed Raspberry: This first treat is by far the easiest to make, and, honestly, it’s my favorite! All you have to do is take a chocolate chip (any type will work), and put it inside the raspberry. This is an awesome mix of flavors and super nice because it doesn’t involve melting the chocolate. This makes it much easier and a lot less messy!
Cookie Dough Greek Yogurt: This next snack is a little bit more challenging than the first one, but it should still take you no longer than five minutes to prepare.
This yogurt mix requires:
– 1 cup of non-fat greek yogurt
– 1 tbsp of peanut butter
– 1 tsp of vanilla
– 1 tbsp of honey
– 1 tbsp of chocolate chips
All you have to do is combine all of these ingredients together and then your treat is complete. This snack could also work as an awesome breakfast item.
Chocolate Smoothie: This last treat is made to taste like a chocolate milkshake, but ITS HEALTHY.
This smoothie will require:
– 1 cup of milk (we used coconut milk, but any type will work)
– 1 frozen banana
– 1 tbsp of cocoa powder
– 1 tsp of vanilla
– 1/2 tsp of chia seeds (optional)
– 6-8 ice cubes
Put all of the ingredients together in the blender and mix on high until it is smooth. Pour it into cups and enjoy!
