Chinese New year is on its way and the International Club will celebrate it in Austin’s Chinatown this weekend.

“We want to learn about this important holiday,” Eva Gonzalez, president of the club, said. “So we’re going to go on a field trip and learn more about the culture.”

The trip is not only for club members because they can bring guests. Those going will meet in Chinatown Saturday at 12:30 inside Texas Bakery.

“I think it’s going to be a great experience for all the club members, for people that never heard about Chinese New Year.” Gonzalez said.
