Q: How long have you been teaching?

A: This is currently my 11th year of teaching. This is my fourth year at Vandegrift; prior to VHS, I taught at Baytown Sterling.

Q: What do you love most about teaching at Vandegrift?

A: Vandegrift is such a wonderful school. I love the willingness to learn and ability of each and every one of the students that walk through my door. It makes my job so much more exciting and enjoyable!

Q: What is your classroom environment like?

A: I want to make a place where students feel encouraged to ask questions and find out why. I strongly believe every child can learn, and I strive to make my classroom a place where that belief can be instilled effortlessly. My biggest goal is that my own passion for the subjects I teach is shared and passed on to my students.

Q: What is something interesting about yourself?

A: I try to live my life to the fullest and maintain a positive attitude. I love spending time outdoors and living a healthy lifestyle!
