Seniors Luke Peterman and Max Regan have been recruited to play football at West Point, the prestigious United States Military Academy. Both Peterman and Regan played on the Vandegrift varsity football team, Peterman playing the position of wide receiver and Regan playing defensive back.
They both played football all through middle school and high school. Reagan, starting in middle school when he moved from Canada and Luke starting in elementary school on local pop warner little league teams. “Sophomore year, is when I really decided that I wanted to pursue an athletic scholarship and trying to get to the next level”, Regan said. Peterman and Regan played many sports as a kid before being committed to football. “I’ve played football since second grade, I’ve always wanted to play college football, it’s my favorite sport I love it, I love the game so to have that opportunity to play another 4 years is huge”, Peterman said. “Football has affected my high school experience in a very positively, I’ve built a lot of great relationships through my teammates and it’s been a blast every Friday night, it’s made high school a good time”, Regan said.
Obviously both Luke and Max are assets to the team physically, but they also bring their leadership qualities out on the field with them. “They have both become very good leaders, they are on the leadership council and are very vocal at practice”, said Coach Sanders, Head Coach of the Varsity football team.
The recruiting process takes a lot of hard work, dedication and discipline. Congratulations to Luke Peterman and Max Regan on their achievements.
