The band and Vision left for their spring trip to Los Angeles yesterday. The long weekend will consist of the viewing of the musical Wicked and a performance of Cirque De Soleil. The tours and sightseeing will include a tour of Warner Bros Studios, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and more.
“I’m most excited to see Wicked, because I love all of the songs and dance numbers,” sophomore Jill Fry said.
The band will also be seeing the world-renowned Los Angeles Philharmonic.
“I’m excited to see the Philharmonic.The conductor is really energetic and fun to watch. They play really cool music,” junior Ryan Hill said.
The trip will be a bonding experience going into UIL season this spring.
“I’m excited to go to California and spend time with my friends in band,” sophomore Matthew Carpenter said.
This is the band’s first trip to L.A., and for freshmen, it’s the first trip with the VHS band.
“I’m excited to be away from my mom and be with all of my friends,” freshman Sam Skavdah said.
