Last Sunday, the Viper cheer squad participated in their first major competition of the year. The girls placed third overall, competing against teams like Lake Travis and Canyon High School, who got first place overall.
“We got third place and beat Lake Travis, which was our goal,” senior Mary Rovenstein said.
This was the kick off to the cheer team’s competition season, which goes from August to February. They will compete in the state competition on December 8th in Dallas.
“We are excited to compete in the national tournament and are hopeful that we will get first overall,” senior Amy Langford said.
