A total of 18 Vipers were named National Merit Semifinalists. Being a National Merit Semifinalist means being among the top 1% of high school seniors in the United States who scored the highest on the PSAT/NMSQT their junior year. Semifinalists are recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program and receive an application to continue in the competition for Merit Scholarship awards.
