Ingredients:
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- Substitute: 1-½ tablespoon of Vegetable Oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Steps:
- Preheat Oven – 375 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius)
- Flour, baking soda, and baking powder together in a bowl and stir
- Beat sugar and butter together in a bowl with electric mixer until you reach a smooth texture
- Beat in egg and vanilla
- Gradually blend in flour mixture with this smooth batter
- Roll dough into small-sized balls
- Place them 2 inches apart from each other onto an ungreased baking sheet
- Bake in the oven until the edges turn golden (8 to 10 minutes)
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet before moving them to a rack to cool further
