As a special end of year game, the softball team played against the faculty on May 13^, during PIT at the end of the day. Students could buy wristbands to go watch the game.

“I think it’s a lot of fun for the faculty and the kids who come and watch,” Coach Sarah Clark said. “It’s just a fun time for the faculty to relive their glory days and have a fun competition with the student athletes.”

This game is a tradition that has been going on since Vandegrift started. The same thing happens for basketball, which is where both boys and girls play.

“I liked playing against the coaches,” sophomore Brianna Hale said. “It was a fun competitive thing.”

At the end of the game, the coaches defeated the students.

“I thought it was fun,” Hale said. “It was fun for the students watch.”
