Tennis season has begun and the team is already 4-0 in district. The team has traditionally done very well in the past and this year doesn’t seem to be much different. On Tuesday tennis will play in the first round in the district tournament.

“We are doing as well as last year,” tennis coach Rebecca Hudson said. “And are really gelling well with our new freshmen who are a great addition.”

The team has won every game that they have played so far and plan to take district this year and make it all the way in regionals.

“In district, the hardest team that we will play will probably be Georgetown, at Regionals it will be Alamo Heights,” Hudson said.

The team hopes to continue to improve and beat their last regional showing.

“I think that we will advance further in regionals this year,” junior Dani Cuteri said. “But hopefully we will get first and not second this year.”

The team practices every day from during fourth and eighth block, and has a tennis match every week.

“ I feel fantastic about the team this year. This is a great group of players who work really hard and have a desire to improve and win,” Hudson said.
