After a successful volleyball season, the Lady Vipers were the first volleyball team to make it to playoffs and made it two rounds deep. In most recent news, the all-district teams were announced and each member of the varsity team made Academic All-District team.
“These fourteen young ladies are the epitome of the true student-athlete,” Head Coach Kelly McCarter said. “While they excel on the court, they also do extremely well in the classroom. Most of them are taking all AP classes, are involved in many extra-curricular activities, and they still manage to maintain outstanding averages. I am very proud of all of them.”
Emily Arterbury, Mollie Bailey and Emily Hanna earned Academic All-State.
“I feel that receiving academic all-state is a great accomplishment,” Hanna said. :It’s good to know that all of the hard work over the last four years really paid off.”
Senior Mollie Bailey was awarded a spot on the first team as an outside hitter. Sophomore Bryn Recker, outside hitter, and junior Malorie McIver, libero, made the second All-District team.
“It means so much to be on the first team because I have been working my tail off for volleyball these past few years. It just makes me feel accomplished,” Bailey said.
