“We won! We freaking won!” Katy Gallien said.
After a 0-5 district start, the girls’ softball team has scored their first district win. On Tuesday night the girls played Rouse, and came out on top with a 5-4 defeat.
“I almost cried last night after the win because the girls have worked extremely hard to get to this point,” Coach Driver said. “Every extra sprint, extra batting practice, bruised ankle or sore shoulder was worth it last night when the last inning ended.”
With only five games left in the season, the softball girls hope to keep up the winning streak.
“After the win we have to be more intense and confident,” Kayla Chatlosh said. “We now go in knowing we can do better.”
