Recipe: Pizza
September 27, 2021
When I was 14 and homeschooled, my dad taught me how to make a ton of delicious dishes and baked goods. Pizza was one of my favorite dishes to make! I was too impatient to make the dough from scratch to get that nice, crunchy yet fluffy crust. So I used an alternative that anyone can buy at their local grocery store to make a pizza in about 25 minutes. This is an easy, delicious snack for after school.
This is a Texas barbecue take on pizza– feel free to change up the toppings!
Servings: 9 square slices Prep: 10 mins Cook: 15 mins Total: 25 mins
Ingredients:
- 1 can Pillsbury pizza crust
- 8 oz canned pineapple, sliced
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Bottle barbecue sauce
- ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 3 slices cooked bacon, finely chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with foil
- Prep/cut desired toppings while waiting for oven to preheat
- Open Pillsbury pizza crust and unroll dough on a prep baking sheet. Form dough to desired thickness and shape
- Pre-bake dough for 8 minutes
- Take the dough out of the oven and let cool for a minute
- Top dough with desired sauce and toppings
- Place back in oven for an additional 6-8 minutes or until golden brown
- Take pizza out of oven and let pizza rest for a few minutes before consuming
Voila, you’ve created a delicious pizza!
