October 27, 2016
- Take a nap. Sometimes when you just can’t handle life anymore and you need to leave it for an hour or two. Let your bed do your decompressing for you.
- Watch an episode of your favorite show. There’s nothing like sitting down and spending some time with the characters and stories that make you the happiest. I know my go-to stress relief show is How I Met Your Mother.
- Eat your feelings. Scoop some ice cream, pour some chocolate sauce over it, then add some whip cream and maybe some sprinkles and you’ve got yourself a stress-relief sundae.
- Vent to a family member. Sometimes the only way the stress comes out is through your mouth. Make a family member endure a rant for ten minutes or so and I guarantee you’ll feel better. They may not, but you will.
- Take a walk. It is scientifically proven that exercise gives your endorphins and endorphins make you happy! I promise that even a short stroll around the block with minimize your stress.
