The National Scholastic Press Association released its winners for the spring semester national high school student media contest Clips & Clicks. Two Vandegrift staff members were honored by the organization. Just two other Austin-area schools had students place nationally – McCallum and Bowie.
Senior news media editor Aisha Rashid won second place nationally in Infographics for her visual on the solar eclipse.
Graduate and Veteran yearbook alumnus Paula Canadell won third place for her Academics Photo of rising senior Colin Reyes in physics.
