Are you ready to go back to your Texas roots and celebrate the Old West? Well, you’re in luck, because on March 9-24, Rodeo Austin will be at the Travis County Expo Center. There are rodeo events earlier in the day and then concerts following.

Rodeo Austin is the World’s fifth largest indoor, regular season ProRodeo. There will be many events including bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding.

There are also 14 artists that will be performing at the Rodeo. Artists include: Clay walker, Kevin Fowler, Bret Michaels, Demi Lovato, Gavin Degraw, Sara Evans, Josh Turner, Josh Abbott Band, Jake Owen, Glen Campbell, Stoney LaRue, The Band Perry, the Bellamy Brothers and Chris Young.

For concerts, reserved seats are $25.00, box seats are $37.00 and Xtreme seats are $175.00.

“I’ve never been to the rodeo before so I’m kind of excited to go. I’m going to see Sara Evans,” senior Amber Ballard said.

Besides concerts, there will also be a petting zoo, a BBQ cook off and a carnival.

Carnival prices range from a $24 to $32 wristband to $105 to $130 Season Fun Pass.

“I love the rides, especially roller coasters. They also have my favorite food: funnel cake,” senior Alex Rivera said.
