2025 brought in wintery temperatures to hot Texas – a shift from the blazing end of December. As temperatures climb below 40 °F and heaters turn on, students share their opinions on winter weather in comparison to the regular blazing climate.

Along with the rest of the varsity boys team, senior center Trent Workman celebrates with Head Coach Jaime Sierra and his kids in the locker room after the historic 48-45 win over Westlake. “Coach Sierra, if you know him, you know he really doesn’t like to mess around. He’s a good coach. I’d say one of the better coaches in the state of Texas,” freshman guard Dylan Cottier said. “He’s a great guy but doesn’t really take stuff lightly. He takes his job seriously, and having a coach like that is good because it leads to winning. He’s hard on everybody, and it’s important for coaches to do that, and he’s definitely done that with me a few times. He’s done that with a lot of guys.”
