What is the goal of NHS?

The goal of NHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship,  to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership,  and to develop character in individuals.

How can a student join NHS?

They shouldgo to the NHS webpage and fill out the new member application packet. The key to joining is staying involved in lots of community service and taking an active leadership role.

Why did you get involved in NHS?

I love doing service, especially with my friends. Its a fun way to give back to the community.

What will NHS be doing in the upcoming semester?

There will be more service opportunities such as Relay for Life for everyone to get involved in

What is your advice to NHS members?

My advice is don’t wait until the last minute to do your individual or group service hours. (3 group and 3 individual hours are required each semester for a total of 6 hours). Keep yourself updated and don’t forget to come to meetings. Also, make sure you continue to do your homework because you do have to maintain a cumulative GPA of 4.5
